What is using all that electricity? I want to monitor my home's energy use
Smart energy conservation starts with knowing how much energy you are using, and for what. While total use monitors have been around for a while, new ones are now available that can tell you precisely how much electricity each of the appliances and devices in your house are using, and when they are on or off, what your background electricity use is, and other details.
We particularly like the “Sense” Home Energy Monitor, which sends the information from your breaker panel to your smart phone, using only a set of sensors installed in the panel. “Sense” works whether or not you have PV panels supplying electricity.
Until April 330, 2018, and for the first fifty MassEnergize purchasers, Sense offers a 10% discount. (This offer has expired, but shoot us an email if you'd like it to ome back and we'll work on it!)
We can recommend a licensed electrician to carry out the quick and easy installation, typically around $100.
1. Go here, choose your version, and after "checkout," enter ENERGIZEW1 into the discount box. (This offer has expired, but shoot us an email if you'd like it to ome back and we'll work on it!)
2. This discount code is good for 10% off until April 30, 2018, and is good for 50 uses.
3. Contact us if you would like us to refer you to a local electrician who can install it.
