What is there to eat local? Visit the Wayland Farmers Market
Did you know that Wayland has a fantastic Farmers’ Market? Both the Summer and the Winter Farmers’ Markets are one-stop- shopping with vegetables (of course), fish, meat,
mushrooms, cheese and so-called “value-added” products like breads, jams and jellies and pickles, as well as breads, desserts, fresh-squeezed lemonade and often wine on offer - like the supermarket only better because local, direct from the farm, and a ton more fun!
Both markets take place at Russell's Garden Center.
In summer the market is on Wednesdays from noon-5 PM, under tents in the front parking lot.
The winter market takes place on Saturdays, 10 AM - 2 PM, in the greenhouses. The winter market is much larger than the summer one. Over the years it has grown to over fifty weekly vendors with special events days featuring Wine, Cheese and Farm Fiber. Visit the Winter Market and be wowed by the crowd: hundreds enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere surrounded by live plants all around. Often there are children’s activities, and there are prepared foods so families and friends make of it a breakfast or lunch outing.
Next up are the Winter Farmers Markets on Saturdays, 10 am - 2 PM, from January 6th-March 10th, 2018.
The Summer Market for 2017 has ended and will return in May 2018.
Next up are the Winter Farmers Markets on Saturdays, 10 am - 2 PM, from January 6th - March 10th, 2018.
